GMAFF 2025
Guidelines
Please read before submitting your work.
To respect your creative efforts and ensure fair and safe management of all entries, GMAFF and XROMEDA have established the following copyright guidelines.
1. Copyright Ownership
All copyrights of the submitted work remain with the creator (the entrant).
However, GMAFF and XROMEDA retain a non-exclusive right to use the submitted work for purposes such as judging, promotion, exhibition, education, and archiving, both online and offline.
Award-winning works may be used for archival purposes without time limitation.
2. No Infringement of Third-Party Rights
Submissions must not infringe upon the copyrights, portrait rights, trademarks, or any other rights of third parties.
All elements used (music, video, images, fonts, etc.) must be legally obtained or originally created.
Commercially licensed assets must be clearly licensed; free resources must include source and license attribution.
3. Joint and Group Submissions
In the case of joint creations, consent from all co-creators must be obtained, and the submitting representative must be able to prove such consent.
Group submissions may require a written consent form from the affiliated institution (e.g., school or company).
4. Responsibility and Disclaimer
The entrant is solely responsible for any legal disputes such as plagiarism or copyright infringement; the organizers bear no liability.
If a copyright violation is discovered after an award is given, the award may be revoked, and any prizes or rewards must be returned.
5. Commercialization of Awarded Works
Outstanding awarded works may be proposed for IP commercialization (e.g., adaptations, publications, merchandise, licensing).
This process will only proceed after a separate copyright and revenue-sharing agreement is signed with the creator.
No commercial use will be made without the creator’s consent and agreement on contract terms.
6. Use of AI-generated Content
If AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney) are used, the extent of AI involvement must be clearly disclosed, and the creator’s editing and planning must be evident.
AI models that raise copyright concerns (e.g., trained without permission, deepfake sources) should not be used.
7. Additional Notes
Awarded works may be used in official GMAFF/XROMEDA channels and media coverage.
By submitting, entrants are deemed to have agreed to these guidelines.
